Private Gardens, National Trust Gardens and Scotland's Open Gardens Scheme

Fife abounds in beautiful gardens open throughout the year starting with  Cambo House Snowdrop Festival in February, the largest specialist snowdrop collection in Scotland. The  National Trust gardens at Falkland Palace, Kellie Castle and Hill of Tarvit· are well worth a visit and are all within easy reach of here. Other gardens to suit all interests are open through
Scotland’s Open Gardens Scheme.
We can recommend other gardens and parks to visit in this area.
Rock Pools, Sandy Beaches, Coastal walks
The Fife coast is very varied, from the sandy beaches at Earlsferry, St. Andrews, Aberdour, Crail, and Tentsmuir to the rock pools and pebbles at Elie, East St. Andrews, Kings Barns, and it is all linked by the
Fife Coastal path —81 miles from North Queensferry on the Forth to Tayport on the Tay.  Photos

Golf courses galore in Fife and the famous Old Course
St. Andrews.
Not just St. Andrews with 6 courses - there are 46 golf courses within 20 miles of here, mostly around the coast.

For Walkers & Cyclists: quiet roads, hill tracks and Millenium Cycleways

The East & West Lomond hills provide many walks from the East Lomond car park, or from Craigmead between the two hills or you can walk through Mapsie Den in the wooded area above Falkland. Photos

Fife Coastal path has many varied sections along beaches, or over the rocky headlands as on the Chain Walk at Shell Bay, Elie
