Our
location gives easy access to St. Andrews, the Fife Coast, Falkland,
Edinburgh, Perth and is a good staging post on the way to the Scottish
Highlands from the south or Rosyth Ferry.
Ochil
Villa B&B
is situated in Freuchie,
a French Hugenot linen weaving village dating from the 16th century to
which out of favour courtiers were banished from the Royal Summer Palace
in nearby Falkland.
We are located in the stunning farmland of North East Fife. There are
46 golf courses within a 20 mile radius including St Andrews
Old Course. National Trust properties, Fife’s coastal path
and the Lomond Hills are close by for those who enjoy the outdoors.
Other attractions are Deep Sea World, Dabbs
Equestrian Centre (3 miles)
and Scottish Off
Road Centre (7 miles).
Comfort

Our B&B has one very
comfortable
double room and one extremely spacious family room which can sleep two
adults and one child. Both rooms have television and welcome trays. The
guest rooms,
including
shower and breakfast rooms, are located on the ground floor. We
have off-street parking to the rear of the property. Access from this
parking area involves one door sill, but no steps or slopes.

We
use ingredients with minimal food miles have
enough variety to satisfy For
our breakfasts we use locally sourced quality ingredients, organic
where possible, including Wild Boar sausages from
Perthshire, Raspberries & strawberries from Muddy Boots Farm
Shop
nearby, our own homemade breads and oatcakes, and Scottish cheeses and
honeys. Breakfast is normally served between 7.00 and 9.00am. Please
let us know in advance what time you’d like breakfast.
If
the weather is kind, you will enjoy eating in our secluded garden
chatting about plants, planting and other gardens to visit. We have
plenty of information about gardens and natural history in this area. Gardens are our passion.
For
evening meals, try the Lomond Hills Hotel
within 5 minutes walk, or one of the restaurants in Falkland which is 2
miles away. Warbecks and The Lomond Tavern are highly recommended.
